Comments: I love coming to the Snowbear site.It has great pictures and information.I have found so many facts that have helped me with my greatpyrenees,Tassy.My greatpyrenees dosn't get along with my chow,they fight alot.I also found out that greatpyrenees love to dig to cooler places in the summer months.Sinse they are both very teritorial, we had to seperate them.They play through the fence but we can not leave them together.

Comments: I recently rescued a 9-month old Great Pyrenees puppy with help from a local group who saved her from a puppy mill...she spent her first nine months in a fairly small cage, never socialized around dogs or people. She is adjusting slowly, but well, to her new life, but I would appreciate suggestions for helping her learn how to play and not be quite as timid. She LOVES to cuddle with people, and her sister (our german shepherd mix puppy) tries her best to get the new one to play, but it's a slow process. Any help/ideas/suggestions would be much appreciated!! Thank you!

I nursed him back to health and he is doing better everyday. I wanted to get a look at puppies of about his age (3 months) and your website was perfect. Comments: I wanted to share the devastation I endured while my children were away on vacation. (Thank the Lord) I owned a pyr. She was the most loyal, faithful, obedient, loving, caring, compassionate, loving with children. She took such good care of us. Working our property at night, waiting for us to come home at times. She would not sleep until she knew we were tucked in. But she still protected our property. She was so much fun, loved people, She was so willing to take such awesome care of us. I had her for 5 yrs until she was murdered by the rots next door. I loved her so, and so did the children. Savanah was her name as in Savanah, GA. Please consider a Grt Pyr as they will also love you forever.

Comments: We are recieving or first Great Pryenees puppy this weekend Mar 17th,2001. We raise Alpacas and needed a guard dog because of the expensive nature of Alpacs. We would hate to loose any due to unwanted animals coming into our pastures. We have 67 acres and it is fenced so our new Pyr will have plenty of room to roam and protect. Our farm is sided by a cattle ranch and a hunting reserve. We are excited that we may be purchasing an additional 2.5 year old male called Dandy to accompany our new 8 week old female puppy. This weekend the Breeder is delivering our pup and bringing Dandy out to meet the Alpacas. If Dandy does well I plan to convert him from show dog to farm herd protector and companion to the pup. He has a great disposition and is a very beautiful Pyr. The breeders are Jack and Charlotte Perry from Midland, VA. These dogs a fifth generation show and all the Pyr's I met at their kennel have great confirmation and disposition. Can't wait to be a Pyr Owner. We have not picked a name for our puppy yet but her registered name is Shady. My wife has been discussing names for 2 weeks now. You might think she were getting ready to deliver the pup herself. I think I am going to let her choose the name!

Comments: I bought a pyr about 4 or so years ago , from an ad in the paper. we fell in love with it . we named her Baby.Then about two years later we saw another ad and we went to go look at it and we bought him to.His name is Tundra.they are the best breed of dogs. I dont think I would buy any other breed!Baby is now 5 and weighs about 95lbs(RUNT)and Tundra is 4 and weighs about 140! They are the BEST!!!!!

Comments: About a month ago we adopted a Great Pyr. at the shelter. he is what we call our gentle giant We have 3 kids and we have never witnessed the amount of affection as he gives out. Comments: While driving yesterday, I saw two amazing polar bears in the back of a pick-up truck--a male and female, I thought. I did not, however, know what breed these beauties were. I asked some friends the breed of a white Newfoundland. No luck!! So I resorted to my favorite super-search engine and eventually found your excellent site. I think I am in love!
